HINGS ARE HEATING UP AT LAKE SUPERIOR ART GLASS
Growth continues at Northern Minnesota’s only public glass art studio-gallery
A year after their big move from Superior Street down into Canal Park, business at Lake Superior Art Glass continues to heat up. To keep up with the steady growth, Lake Superior Art Glass Owner, Dan Neff, has expanded the management team.
Talbrey Benson-Goupil, Gallery Manager, has been with the team for over a year and provides excellent customer service and precision within the gallery. Her leadership on the floor has helped grow the relationships with their artists and customers.
New to the team as of May, Jake Speich has taken the position of Lead Gaffer / Studio Manager. Jake comes from a background of furnace work and minored in Art with an emphasis on glass at UW River Falls. He worked in the Hot Shop at FOCI Minnesota Center for Glass and at Bicycle Glass in the Metro area as a studio assistant and production artist. A budgeted plan for upgraded equipment, including a new furnace, has been put into place with the help of Jake’s 12 years of experience working with glass.
Jodie Cowan recently took the role of Marketing and Group Sales Manager. Jodie comes to us with three years extensive experience in marketing management and strategy development with a popular tourist destination in Duluth. Her plans for Lake Superior Art Glass include keeping connected to innovative and current marketing trends as well as ensuring forward growth for the business.
In May, Lake Superior Art Glass also added a new Kids Class to their offerings. This popular class has taken off and has quickly become our most highly attended class.
