Here at Lake Superior Art Glass, we love to show THE LOVE. We have so many couples come through here sharing their date nights with us, engagements, even including us in their wedding day. So, after hearing about all these great dates, we've decided to release our own DULUTH DATE NIGHT series.
Duluth ART Night Out
It's Friday night. You've punched the clock at 4pm and it's time to meet your sweetie for Friday fun!
4:00 pm - DULUTH COFFEE COMPANY ROASTERY
We start our night at Duluth Coffee Company Roastery. This swanky little spot is neat on so many levels. Not only are they locally owned, but they also source their product in the most sustainable and quality-driven ways. They have real relationships with their coffee growers in Central America. The Roastery is a bit different than the cafe, but located right next door. My favorite part? They serve alcoholic drinks. If it was a long week, maybe we skip latte art (which is always sensational) and go straight for one of their signature cocktails. If the giant copper roaster is not enough to gaze upon, the walls are adorned with local art, which is always appreciated by us.
4:30 pm - ZEITGEIST ARTS CAFE
Want to know a Duluth secret? Eat out early! You avoid the dinner rush and get in and out quicker. You also eat during Happy Hour which usually means drink and appetizer specials! We chose Zeitgeist Arts Cafe. Just a short walk down Superior Street from Duluth Coffee Company Roastery.
We ordered drinks and an appetizer off the Happy Hour menu. I would 100% recommend the Wild Mushroom Stroganoff Entree. Teres major steak, cremini & oyster mushrooms, pappardelle noodles in house-made cream sauce. Topped with sour cream & fresh dill. Extraordinary.

6 pm - LAKE SUPERIOR ART GLASS
All of our classes are great to take together, but our most popular "date night" class is our Wine Goblet class in the Flamework Studio. In this class you create one unique, custom wine goblet stem as you learn to manipulate hot glass. Pick our colors to match your date, or design your own piece! Then enjoy a glass of wine while Lake Superior Art Glass’ staff assembles your goblet (must be 21 years old to enjoy complimentary wine)!
Trying something new with a loved one or a friend creates a unique bond. You got through it together. You both walked away with a new skill. The memories from doing something different will last a lifetime.
7:30 pm - HOOPS BREWING
We enjoy craft beer in this household, so we ended the night at Hoops Brewing, right in Canal Park and a close walk from Lake Superior Art Glass. Craft beer in the Twin Ports is fabulous. Why? Because they brew with the most SUPERIOR water source! Superior water = Superior beer!
