We have exciting news! As you may know, we are upgrading our Hot Shop Studio and equipment at the very beginning of 2020.
This exciting rebuild will give us more capabilities in our Hot Shop and better clarity of glass.
This is a significant construction project for us, lasting almost 3 weeks, but do not fret! The gallery and the Flamework Studio will still be open. The Hot Shop will be taped off to the public for safety. Classes in the Hot Shop will be available after January 18, 2020. Flamework classes will not be interrupted.
Running for at 2100 degrees for a solid 18 months, this will be the first time we've completely cooled down our furnace since starting it up in our Canal Park Location. The process is simple, yet requires patience. It could take up to 5 days for our crucible (pot of melted glass inside of the furnace) to completely cool. It will take another 5 days to reheat the glass to a proper workable temperature.
