☀️ Join us on National Marble Day (July 23) for a Marble Sprinkle around Canal Park in Duluth, Minnesota!
Our faithful followers know & love our beloved annual Marble Hunt. Well, this year, we’re putting a fun twist on it! We’ll be hosting a Marble Sprinkle in Canal Park this year, in lieu of the Marble Hunt that typically takes place at the Duluth Public Library branches. (But don’t worry — we have some fun things up our sleeve in partnership with the library this Fall!)
Get ready to search far and wide, high and low, for spectacular glass marbles in Canal Park. On July 23rd, National Marble Day, we’ll be sprinkling glass marbles all around the Canal Park Neighborhood area. As a reminder, this event is open to all ages. And as a BONUS opportunity this year, anyone who stops into our gallery on this day will also have the opportunity to enter-to-win an amazing prize, a couple of large Garden Marbles! Please note: Two winners will be drawn for the raffle giveaway, as we have two Garden Marbles to give away.
Here’s how it works. Starting at 10am sharp on Thursday, July 23, explore the Canal Park area and search for our tiny glass marbles. If you find one, amazing! Come into our gallery with your marble and enter a raffle to win one of our Garden Marbles! Simple, right? But even if you don’t find a glass marble, don’t worry! You can still come into our gallery and enter to win this exclusive garden marble giveaway before 5 PM for a chance to win as well.
Lets lay some ground rules:
- One glass marble per person, please. We want everyone to have a chance to find a glass marble, so please limit yourself to one per person. Once you’ve found a marble, kindly step out of the hunt and come into the gallery to enter into the giveaway!
- No digging or climbing. Every glass marble is placed in plain sight. There is no need to dig, climb, or disturb any plants or structures. Just keep your eyes peeled as you explore!
- Respect other participants. This is a family friendly event, so please be courteous to other participants. No running, pushing, or taking glass marbles from others.
- Leave no trace. Please dispose of all trash properly as you search. Let’s keep Canal Park as beautiful as ever!
- Search in appropriate public areas. All glass marbles will be placed in public outdoor areas in the Canal Park area (S Lake Drive, Canal Park Dr, Lakewalk, and the Baywalk). No glass marble will be placed on private property so please respect the many businesses that call Canal park home.
- The search starts at 10am sharp. We ask that you please wait until 10 AM the morning of July 23rd to start searching for glass marbles.
- Share on social media. We encourage you to share any pictures and videos you take during your search on social media! Use the hashtag #marblesprinkle2026 and tag us to show off your discoveries. However, please do not reveal the exact location where you found your glass marble, that’s part of the adventure for others!
- Have fun! This event is all about enjoying the summer season, spending time outdoors, and experiencing the joy of discovery. Have fun, be safe, and enjoy the search!
