Sand-carved glass stones by David Royce offer a unique take on paperweights. Hand formed using elemental patterning, each piece will have its own unique pattern. Spheres are approximately 3" in diameter flat stones are approximately 4.5" in diameter. Polished on the bottom and signed by the artist.
The elemental series combines clean forms with wildly organic textures and patterns. The patterns are naturally occurring in the glass and through careful application of color, each pattern expresses itself uniquely as a one of a kind. Therefore, the pattern on your piece may differ from the photograph shown. Each piece is hand blown and then sand blasted for a satin finish and polished on the bottom. These pieces have a wide appeal and are great for those people looking for something that could not be anything other than hand made, one at a time.
